About Us
About the Falcons... A Division 1 club in the FTGDCA.
Record playing numbers, a BIG In2Cricket enrollment, 8 sides in Finals and 4 Premierships, plus the opening of our revamped ground after a $500,000 makeover including "State of the art" Training facilities made 2008/09 a record year and one to remember! Our 1st XI Premiership team also contained 10 players who had played their Junior Cricket at Knox Gardens, some since 7 years of age, with 6 players in the Team being Under 19.

Knox Gardens is a Family club, last year we had 2 sets of twins, 7 sets of Brothers, 2 sets of Brothers and Sisters and 8 sets of Dad’s and Sons playing. With facilities that are the Best in the Eastern suburbs we have a very strong parent network and Social atmosphere. We also saw 9 Kids play Representative Cricket at the highest level for their age groups as well as having 5 Coaches in-charge of Representative and State Championship programs. Knox Gardens hosted the U/12 & U/14 Representative carnivals.

At Knox Gardens we accommodate players of all ages and all skill levels and all Junior Teams are coached by accredited coaches who also have "working with children" certification. The Knox Gardens Cricket Club caters for players from 4 years of age (Boys and Girls), in our MILO In2cricket program... to Junior players on Friday Nights (U/10’s and U/11’s)... and Junior players on Saturday mornings (U/12’s, U/13’s, U/15’s and U/17’s)... through to Senior cricketers on Saturday afternoons (Two Day & One Day Teams)... plus field 2 Veterans Teams for over 40’s on every 2nd Sunday afternoon. We also run a dedicated Girls program on Wednesday nights during the Season and in 2009/10 will be aiming to have 2 dedicated girls teams (8yrs-12yrs) and (13yrs-15yrs).

In Season 2009/2010 we will aim to have 6 Senior teams including teams in 1st Divison, 3rd Divison, 5th Division and 7th Division who play 2 Day fixtures and 2 One Day teams for Senior cricket. There will be 13 Juniors Teams (2x U/10, 2xU/11, 2x U/12, 2x U/13, 2x U/15 & 1x U/17 plus the 2 Girls only teams), playing at our 4 home grounds both at Knox Gardens Reserve and also Llewellyn Reserve.

Our MILO In2Cricket program starts for Boys and Girls aged four (4) years and teaches the basic skills and "How Cricket can be FUN" for children until they are ready to progress into a Non-competitive modified rules program at about 7 or 8 years of age. The club then manages this transition with the parents to ensure each child is in the most appropriate learning and playing environment.

The club has re-appointed our club coach, Chris Amos, for 2009/10. Chris has put programs in place for senior and junior players to constantly improve their level of ability throughout the past 2 seasons and with 8 Teams making Finals last Season the work Chris and the coaching team have put in is paying dividends. So if you’re thinking of playing cricket, contact us and enjoy on field success and skill development, and a great off field culture.
